Even though it happened a little more than two years ago, I have recently discovered an unsolved murder in Belgium. This case had caught my attention because of the scene of the crime. The torso and two thighs were found in Dudenpark in Forest, Brussels by two people who had stumbled upon the rotting corpse. Two notes were found next to the body parts, and on them were capital letters in different colors. The notes stated, "Watashi wa Kira dess", a mispronounced form of "Watashi wa Kira desu" meaning "I am Kira (Killer)". Aside from this and the location of the body parts, the police have no leads and the case remains unsolved.

It was also considered a sick prank, possibly from medical students, since the surgical precision was just precise. The body was either a day or two old but appeared that it could have been stored in a freezer. This also referring to medical students, and around the time when the body parts were found, the nearby medical university academic year had just started. However, missing body parts wouldn't be easy to steal let alone people would eventually find out that they're missing.

This was also considered to be a serial killer or perhaps even a psychopath's doing. Since the body was found "very close to the highest point of Brussels, possibly a symbolic location since Kira acts as a god of death in the manga." (quoted straight from Wikipedia, [link]) The victim could not be identified as the crucial parts were still missing.
